Our Haiku Poems

We are learning about different poetry forms this term.

Today we learned about Haiku poems. We know that a haiku only has three lines. The first and last lines have five syllables, the second line has seven. A haiku is usually about nature. We wrote our own, in small groups of three, about our school. We had to clap out the syllables in our lines to check we had the right amount.

Here are our haiku poems about our school. We think they are wonderful!
